
Dr. Cisneros is a native of Southern California. He joined the Army in 1985. In 1993 he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Zoology from Humboldt State in northern California. In 1997, he received his D.M.D. degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in 1998 from the U.S. Naval Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. In 2007 he received a specialized license in Illinois after receiving advanced IV sedation training at UIC (University of Illinois at Chicago).
Dr. Cisneros has been a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Illinois State Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the Coastal Carolina Dental Society and the Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation. He is committed to continuing education and keeps abreast of the latest technological advances. He has received advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, implantology, sedation, endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and in many other disciplines of dentistry. He has accumulated well over 900 continuing education hours by continuously attending multiple courses every year. He has earned numerous military and civilian awards.
Dr Cisneros has served in the military for over eighteen years. He has served in both the Army and the Navy. He also spent four and a half years attached to a Marine Corps unit. He has obtained the rank of Commander (0-5) in the US Navy. He is no longer on active duty, but still serves in the Navy Reserves.
Dr. Cisneros has a 7 year old daughter. He currently lives in Freeburg, IL. He enjoys combative sports, has two black belts, likes to golf, boat, play poker and ride motorcycles.
